Experience Design for Cultural Spaces

John Tolva is Program Manager for Cultural Strategy and Programs for IBM Corporate Community Relations. Formerly a Creative Director at the Centers for IBM e-Business Innovation in Chicago, his work spans the fields of web design, user-centric solution design, cultural heritage, and new media. John joined IBM eight years ago as a producer in the events webcasting group out of Atlanta where he produced the live webcasts for the US Open, Ryder Cup, GRAMMY Awards, Wimbledon, and the Sydney Olympics. Since his work on the award-winning Hermitage Museum project in 1999 Mr. Tolva has primarily been involved in cultural applications of technology, particularly digitization, content management, and multimedia design.
